WELLBEING ZONE

Floorplan

13-14 May 2009

We know being a social care professional can be a stressful and demanding job, which is why we’ve created a Wellbeing Zone at Community Care Live 09 to help you strike the right balance. This zone is sponsored by BASW (British Association of Social Workers) who play a key role in supporting and promoting the profession and will include stress management sessions and other activities to help you better manage your work-life balance.

BASW’s Guide to Surviving and Thriving as a Social Worker

BASW will be creating a “surgery” to give social workers a chance to talk about their issues to BASW staff and members in person and hear expert advice about how BASW can help. They will be drawing on real-life case studies of support they have given to social workers in difficulty to help you with your issues.

Stress Management sessions

Do you find yourself prone to stress, or find your job at times too demanding? Then make sure you drop into our informal and interactive ‘buzz groups’ – where Ray Braithwaite will help you identify and deal more effectively with workplace stressors. His informal sessions are 45 minutes long and will take place at regular intervals throughout both days in the Wellbeing Zone.
